Study Objective:
Assess safety and gentleness of the Clarisonic Opal Sonic Infusion System
Methodology:
- 30 subjects participated in the study
- The study examiner held Opal stationary on the randomly selected crow’s feet area adjacent to one yet without using a cosmetic serum for one minute (exaggerated use)
- A Board Certified Dermatologist and Board Certified Ophthalmologist examined the skin and eyes prior to and after exaggerated use of Opal
- Non-invasive measurements of the skin barrier (Transepidermal Water Loss, Erythema, Hydration) on the crow’s feet area of both eyes (treated and untreated) were taken before and after exaggerated use
Results:
- Safety and gentleness of Clarisonic Opal was confirmed by dermatologist and ophthalmologist assessments and non-invasive measurements of skin health following exaggerated use
- No significant changes in the skin barrier were measured. No adverse events were noted from the physicians’ assessments of the skin and eyes
