About the Job

This position will support the head of product marketing while also managing specific segments of the business.

REPORTING

Reports to the Product Marketing Manager, Marketing.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Supporting the Product Marketing function:

  • 3 year product vision and panier (US)
  • Competitive expertise – positioning, activity, formulas, performance
  • Product expertise – claim activity, consumer preference and habits
  • Partner with Channel Managers to ensure effective and timely execution of product vision
  • Partner with DMI on new product development and launch strategies

Product Activity:

  • Support the head of Product Marketing on all new product development:
    • Ensure proper and timely communications with the DMI
    • Work with Clarisonic systems and processes for all new products and launch activity
    • Collaborate with creative agencies when appropriate
    • Partner with channel managers to ensure flawless execution
  • Provide specific focus and attention on:
    • Lead and direct the Brush Head category
    • Sonic Skin Solutions”
  • Project Management:
    • Lead and manage timelines to ensure timely launch of projects
    • Partner with internal and external resources and departments to promote and develop cost effectiveness and productivity when applicable
    • Collaborate with Finance and Operations to ensure category/product COG management
    • Track and analyze new product launches
    • Assist in product line strategy development based on factual analysis

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2-3 years beauty marketing experience:
    • Global Marketing / product development
    • COG/financial management
    • Familiarity with consumer based market research
  • Ability to combine analytical skills with creative development:
    • Synthesize syndicated data and market research with consumer trends
    • Evaluate creative executions against market/consumer data
  • Strong interpersonal skills:
    • Ability to work effectively in a networked organization
    • Can successfully build consensus and partnership amongst teams
    • Effective at motivating and encouraging others to work towards a common goal
  • Team/cultural development:
    • Promotes a respectful work environment
    • Articulates feedback in an effective, positive manner
    • Desire to share knowledge and mentor other employees
  • College degree, MBA preferred but not required
  • Travel as needed
